How It Works
Family history and your genetics do not necessarily determine your long-term health. Environment is key to expression of genetics (epigenetics). As a nutrigenetic councellor I work with a selection of laboratories that have devised genetic panels that detect for genetic variations typically involved in specific conditions (e.g. gluten related disorders) as well as the state of a number of key genes that if compromised may predispose you to developing chronic disease. The implications of these genes on your health are all modifiable through diet and lifestyle and greatly facilitate the development of personalised therapeutic interventions to achieve your specific health goals.

Please note that if the client is not undertaking the above test as part of the nutritional therapy consultation process, that all current prescribed medications and supplementation must be declared to ensure client safety and best practice. It is also a condition that the client agrees to their GP being contacted should the testing reveal anything that may require further medical advice or testing.
